CAREER/LIFE PLANNING

Career/Life Planning is a systematic approach to choosing and reaching career goals, incorporating a lifestyle that will enhance an individual's sense of wholeness, balance, productivity, and joy in living.

It is a normal ongoing and empowering experience that allows the individual to gain control of important career and life issues.

MID-LIFE TRANSITIONS

bullet

Are you questioning your present relationships, career, or life style?

bullet

Are you feeling more anxious, depressed, or unsettled?

bullet

You may be going through a mid-life passage.

bullet

Rather than view it as a crisis, realize that you now have a greater opportunity to re-work old wounds, to heal, and to become a more authentic you rather than remaining the person your family–of–origin script dictated.

bullet

Now you have an opportunity to understand your family dynamics regarding barriers to health, prosperity, loving relationships and self expression.  You can remove your blocks to joy and creativity.

I guide you through this passage taking into account the holistic emphasis on mind, body, and spirit.  I use an eclectic theory based on psychodynamic principles, behavior modification, and appropriate body work while drawing upon an integration of East/West philosophies and practices.  I work with individuals and couples dealing with concerns about life passion and purpose, grief, loss, relationship issues and depression, anxiety, and stress as well as career change, college major, retirement planning, and women's issues.

I have over 30 years of experience in empowering individuals, families, and organizations to resolve dysfunctions that impede their sense of wholeness, productivity and joy in living. I am a Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work and am an authorized provider of mental health services for many managed care health organizations. I am also a trained provider of the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I have been a consultant to corporations, mental health centers, pediatricians, and gynecologists as well as a wide array of non-profit social service agencies.
